Managed business communications

Make it easier for customers to reach the right person.

A successful phone deployment begins with call flow, internet quality, business continuity and user adoption—not a box of handsets.

Call queues, IVR & routing

Design office-hours, after-hours, overflow, department and emergency call flows around the way your team works.

Web and desktop calling

Give approved users a consistent business identity across supported desktop and browser experiences.

Mobile applications

Help mobile staff make and receive business calls without relying on a personal mobile number.

Microsoft 365 integration

Where licensing and configuration permit, support user synchronisation, Microsoft sign-in, contacts, calendar and presence integration.

Live chat & messaging

Route supported website conversations and messaging channels into the communications workflow where appropriate.

Reporting & administration

Review call activity, queues, extensions, business hours and system configuration with role-appropriate access.

3CX for healthcare practices

Calls are part of the patient experience.

Reception teams need clear queues, sensible overflow, after-hours messaging and reliable handoff between staff. Podium IT can design the phone system alongside Business NBN or corporate fibre, internal networks and practice go-live requirements.

  • Reception and appointment queues
  • Department and location routing
  • Opening-hours and holiday schedules
  • Approved mobile and remote users
  • Internet failover considerations
  • Privacy-conscious feature review

3CX phone system FAQ

Plan the call experience before choosing features.

Licensing, integrations and supported capabilities change. We confirm the current requirements during design.

What is 3CX?+

3CX is a software-based business communications platform that supports SIP calling, extensions, call queues, IVR, web and mobile apps, supported IP phones and a range of integrations.

Can we keep our existing phone numbers?+

Often yes. Number porting depends on the current carrier, number type and documentation. Podium IT plans the port and confirms the cutover approach before changes are made.

Does 3CX work with Microsoft 365 or Teams?+

3CX supports Microsoft 365 integration for capabilities such as user sync, sign-in, contacts and presence. Teams Direct Routing is available only with compatible 3CX editions, capacity, Microsoft licensing and technical configuration, so requirements must be checked for each environment.

Is 3CX suitable for medical and dental practices?+

It can be. We design call queues, reception flows, after-hours messages, extensions and continuity around the practice. Any recording, transcription or messaging feature must be assessed against consent, privacy and organisational policy before use.
